Alaska Hand Painted Postcard Series

On May 22nd, 2021 I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with my BFA in Fine Arts. The very next day I hopped on a plane to central Alaska to live in a cabin in the woods for the summer. For three and a half months I lived in a dry cabin (meaning no running water or plumbing) outside of Fairbanks. I spent my summer traveling the state, learning to fly fish, hiking mountains, camping, berry-picking, and painting. There was no shortage of inspiration from the Last Frontier. I completed 100 hand-painted postcards that were sent to 42 different US states and 4 international countries. Below is a gallery of all 100 postcards. Enjoy.
